R.I.P Buster Brown

August 23, 2003 – August 2, 2018

Those of you who have been reading my meditations for a long while, especially those who were with us in Florida, know that my Spring Spaniels, Buster Brown and Hershey, often found their way into my writings, most recently on July 16, 2018.

It is with great sadness that I share that Buster Brown died on August 2, 2018. He was just three weeks shy of his 15th birthday. He was one of the sweetest puppies ever and the children in our church in Florida loved it when I brought him to VBS. On more than one occasion, Buster and I won the prize for the most money raised in the annual Walk-for-Life sponsored by Care Net, the crisis pregnancy center in Bradenton.

We have many great memories with Buster including our week-long excursion along the Blue Ridge Parkway in 2017. He was a great traveler! He was also a mentor to our other Springer, Hershey. We will miss him terribly and thank God for the joy of his unconditional love, loyalty, and affection for almost 15 years.
