The Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Jesus, and Visions
During the night Paul had a vision of a man of Macedonia standing and begging him, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.”
Acts 16:9
Read: Acts 16:1-10
Did you notice in verse 10 the change from they or he to we? It is believed that Luke, the author of Acts, had personally joined Paul, Silas and Timothy.
Timothy’s mother was a Jew, but his father was Greek, which meant Timothy would not have been circumcised as a baby. Paul is clear that circumcision was not necessary to become a Christian, but it was necessary for a person to move freely about the Jewish synagogue and Jewish culture. It was within the synagogues and Jewish culture that Paul initiated contact when he first went into a new community, and if Timothy was going to be effective with Paul, he needed to be able to move about with Paul.
Three times in this brief passage, the supernatural power of God was revealed in leading Paul and his companions in their journey. In verse six, the Holy Spirit kept Paul from preaching the word in the province of Asia. In verse seven, they tried to enter Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus would not allow them to. In verse nine, Paul had a vision of a man begging him to come to Macedonia.
My Takeaway: I believe this leading of the Holy Spirit and Godly visions are available for our ministry in the name of Jesus today. “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” (Matthew 7:12)

(Selah is a word that appears in the Book of Psalms that I often use as the Complimentary Closing in my correspondence. Its meaning, as I use the word, is to pause and think about these things.)
